The origami inside reverse fold is a fundamental technique in origami used to create sharp, angular shapes, such as the beak of a bird, the legs of an animal, wings, heads or tails. The fold is often used when you need to change the direction of a paper flap inward while maintaining clean lines.

Instructions

  • Read all of the instructions before getting started.
  • Take your time and be patient with yourself.
  • It’s ok to start over.
  • If one side of your paper is white then start with the white side of the paper facing down.
  • If your paper has color on both sides then start with the main color facing up.
  • For example, the paper above has two colors; brown and white. Because we want the main color to be brown; like in the above picture, we placed the brown side of the paper up.

Step: 1 of 15

Important: Follow the “Paper Setup” instructions first.

Start with the main color facing up. This inside reverse fold will be brown so the brown side is facing up.
